Connect. People.

The Denver Streets Partnership is a coalition of community organizations advocating for people-friendly streets in Denver.

Working towards Vision Zero

Traffic deaths are preventable and unacceptable. That’s why we advocate for Denver to adopt Vision Zero, a strategy for eliminating traffic fatalities through a systems approach, rather than placing all the responsibility on individuals to keep themselves safe.

In 2016, the City of Denver committed to achieving Vision Zero by 2030, but Denver’s rates of traffic violence have continued to rise since then, and we have to continue holding the City accountable in order to truly eliminate traffic fatalities in Denver.

We advocate for the cultural and systemic changes necessary to reduce our city’s unsustainable dependence on cars and to design communities that put people first.

We envision an equitable and vibrant Denver where human dignity is the guiding principle for our transportation system and communities, with living, public spaces that allow everyone to thrive and connect to what matters most to them.
