Mile High Line
In his 2026 State of the City Address, Mayor Johnston put forward a vision dubbed the Mile High Line, which he describes as “a city that is connected to each other and connected to a shared vision for jobs, housing, transit, climate and equity.” We’re urging the Johnston Administration to put the City’s money (and policies) where his mouth is to make this a real thing.
Colorado Boulevard
Colorado Boulevard is one of Denver’s busiest and most dangerous corridors, and it’s ready for a transformation. The planned Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project could help make the street safer for everyone, but the project is at risk of being watered down. We’re calling on the Colorado Department of Transportation to deliver full, high-quality BRT with dedicated bus lanes all the way along Colorado Blvd.
Safety Over Slush!
In 2021, Denver created a Transportation & Mobility Special Revenue Fund to invest in pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and Vision Zero safety improvements. Instead of funding safer streets, the Johnston Administration has drifted from that purpose. We’re advocating to get this fund back on track.

During his first two full years in office, Mayor Mike Johnston has fallen short on his commitments as a candidate to improve mobility, access, and transportation safety in Denver. Our report card evaluates Mayor Johnston’s performance by comparing what he promised as a candidate with what he has done during his administration, and outlines clear actions to improve his grade.

Transforming Denver’s Main Streets into people-first corridors is one of the most powerful ways to improve safety, expand transportation options, support local businesses, and build a more equitable and vibrant city. Denver’s biggest needs and opportunities overlap on corridors like Colfax, Federal, and Colorado Boulevard.
