Trevista Elementary mural

In 2017, Trevista Elementary and Sunnyside community members, in collaboration with the Denver Streets Partnership and Denver Environmental Health, painted a street mural at the intersection of W. 41st Ave & Navajo St. The purpose of this mural is to promote neighborhood identity and a sense of place, as well as to provide a visual cue to drivers that children may be crossing the street on their way to or from school. The community has selected a design with “Frankie the Falcon,” Trevista’s school mascot, to paint in the intersection.
