2024 Voter Toolkit

It’s our full-time job at DSP to keep tabs on what’s happening with our local government, but it doesn’t have to be yours. We want to make sure that Denver voters like you have access to reliable non-partisan resources that will help you make informed decisions and feel less overwhelmed when it’s time to cast your ballot.

Read on for:

You won’t find any candidate endorsements below because of our status as a 501(c)(3) organization—and because we’ll be working with decision-makers at all levels of government, no matter who gets elected! But, we hope this information gives you the resources you need to cast your ballot as a knowledgeable voter this fall.

Ballot measure endorsements

7A: Keep Colorado Moving, aka "RTD De-Brucing"

DSP is proud to endorse Measure 7A, as it’s critical that RTD be able to maintain its tax revenue to ensure that current service levels can be maintained and expanded in the future. Without raising taxes, ballot measure 7A will allow Denver’s public transit agency, RTD, to continue to provide transportation choices; maintain current levels of bus and rail services; repair and improve rail lines, buses, bus stops, stations, and other infrastructure; maintain the availability of services for people with disabilities; provide free transportation services for youth 19 years of age or younger; fund security and safety measures on RTD rail lines, and more.

2R: Affordable Denver

DSP is excited to endorse Measure 2R because housing and transportation go hand in hand. 2R will generate a new housing fund to the tune of about $100 million/year to expand access to affordable housing options for Denverites. Today, housing and transportation are the top two household costs for most families and we believe this measure complements the work we are doing at DSP to expand access to affordable transportation options.
