Montbello FreshLo Walking Loop

Local leaders with Montbello Walks, Montbello 20/20, and Montbello Organizing Committee are fierce advocates for their community. Their hard work recently came to fruition with the Montbello FreshLo Initiative, a multi-million-dollar economic development initiative that will feature a grocery-anchored cultural hub with affordable housing. This is a transformative effort that will uplift and revitalize the neighborhood. Dozens of community organizations and government agencies came together to to help create places in the community that are healthy and safe. Part of that effort is the walking loop, a “healthy living loop” that connects community gardens and parks, schools, and the Montbello Cultural Hub with improved sidewalks, and street crossings, and bike lanes.
