Event Type

July 24 is the anniversary of the death of Alexis Bounds, mother of two, who was struck while riding home from the park. Join us as we ride, roll, walk, etc., down Marion Parkway to take back our streets in her name and for all victims of traffic violence in the city of Denver. Marion street will be converted into a lovely memorial for the ride, which will begin and end at Alexis’ ghost bike at the corner of S. Marion St. Pkwy. and E. Bayaud Ave. After a few words, we will ride down Marion to Virginia Ave. Those who wish to take a circuit through Washington Park are welcome to do so. We will then return along her same route back to the ghost bike. Please bring lights for your bikes, strollers, or clothes, as it will be around dusk.
